Hubert Von Holten founded Life essentials, a line of mobility products designed to help individuals with limited mobility get around more comfortably. Diagnosed with Polio when he was only five years old, Hubert struggled to live within the physical boundaries of his disability. Finding existing machinery to be insufficient, he made his own modifications and supplements and soon found himself able to accomplish things that had previously been impossible. Inspired to give others the same mobile independence he built for himself, Hubert started manufacturing his designs. Round Grove Machine in West Lafayette, Indiana and Sunset Prairie in Brookston, Indiana manufacture many of the personal mobility products offered by Life essentials today.
This website features Life essentials custom mobile lifts, wheelchairs and hand controls. Keep in mind, however, that this is not an exclusive list.
