What is the price for wheelchairs?:
If the journeyman will assist you in continuing to work, help with may be available through the state’s vocational rehab, drs, or family services organizations. Also help may be available with the veterans administration.
We make the journeyman scooter which is small enough to use as a regular wheel chair but capable of going into rugged terrain, mud, water, snow, etc…. So it is a dual purpose chair. The price is approximately $12,500 with 2 group 24 batteries and charger. But as you will see it is worth it.
How long will it last?:
We have a very expensive battery charger with it so you can get 2-3 years out of your batteries.
The wheelchair will last as long as you want if it is taken care of. So far we have chairs out there that are 10 years old and they are still working. We haven’t yet had a motor failure on a wheel chair.
How much weight will they hold?:
We build them for 325 pound person. If you need more we can build it to hold more.
How much maintenance do they require?:
You just need to keep air in the tires and replace the tires when they are worn. (tires can be purchased at a local farm supply store). Check for worn wires and loose bolts.
How fast will it go?:
It will go about 5-8 mph depending on the programing. We can program it to go fast and have less torque or to go slow and have more torque. Depends on what you want to do with it.
What is the warranty?:
Most of our equipment has a one year manufacturers limited warranty. If the lift has been cared for and not abused we usually cover manufacturers parts for 2 years. Some of the purchased parts have a 2 year limited warranty on them.
