LIFE ESSENTIALS NEW LIFT

Life essentials announces a new running board lift that is all self contained in a 32" tube and mounts under the vehicle.  You can use your existing running boards and fasten them to the arms on the lift.  When it is up it just looks like running boards on a vehicle.  Push a button and the running board lowers to the ground and you can stand on it and ride it back up and easily get into your vehicle.

After the running board is raised fully, it looks just like the original running board that is standard on your vehicle.

We use the same device to make a Hitch mounted wheelchair transport platform.  It mounts in the hitch receiver on a vehicle and with the lift on you can still access your truck, hatchback, or lower your tail gate.  You don't have to swing it out, or remove it.

Frequently Asked Questions

While every person has their own needs, there are some questions common to everyone looking for mobility assistance. Here you will find the questions we are most commonly asked about our mobile lifts, along with their answers. If you don’t find everything that you need to know about how mobile lifts can assist you, please contact us.

Questions and Answers

Can mobile lifts be removed and put on another or new piece of equipment?

Most lifts can be removed and little to no evidence left that the equipment had a lift on it. We don' believe in chopping equipment up to put a lift on. Usually new mounting brackets would have to be made which can be done by a local welding shop and it could work on something else. Sometimes agriculture lifts will be used on two pieces of equipment, the combine is only used in the fall so a lift will be shared between a combine and a large tractor. This requires plugs for the wiring, extra hand control box, and extra mounting bracket.

Can you get me in my ____?

Call us and we promise to do what we can to get you in what ever you have.

Do mobile lifts need much maintenance?

Chain driven lifts need a spray of chain lube three times a year. We always ask that the lifts be inspected for loose bolts and pinched wires. Hand controls need to be hung on their bracket so that moisture will drain out of them.

How easy is the installation of mobile lifts?

Some lifts can be installed by the customer or a local shop. Other lifts require onsite modifications. We usually send out our own crew and do the installation along with a local fabricator so that there is someone local who is familiar with the workings of the lift.

How long will it take to get a mobile lift delivered?

Usually it takes approximately 4 weeks from the time of the order to the time of the install.

How much do mobile lifts cost?

The price varies as to the vehicle we are modifying and the person using it. Most lifts are custom made so we require measurements and pictures to be able to quote an adaptation. Any adaptation needed to continue to work might be eligible for help through the state’s vocational rehabilitation, doctors, or family services organizations. Help also may be available through the Veterans Administration.

How much do mobile lifts weigh?

This depends on the lift you buy. We over build most of our lifts so that they will survive and work for the owner for many, many years. We see a lot of things on the market that the quality of materials are made to last maybe 4 years. We have lifts on tractors that work in the fields and sit outside that are 35 years old and still running strong. You don’t need a device you rely on to move you around wearing out or breaking down after a couple years.

How much weight will your mobile lift handle?

Most of our lifts are made to handle a 350 lb. person. If you need a heavier lift we can make them handle more weight.

What is the warrant for a mobile lift?

Most of our equipment has a one year manufacturers limited warranty. If the lift has been cared for and not abused we usually cover manufacturers parts for 2 years. Some of the purchased parts have a 2 year limited warranty on them.

Will your lift get me into my equipment?

I always say “no” to this question. But with our lift “you” can get yourself into your equipment.
